Book of the Week: The Gospel of "Yes"

Do you feel like God is saying “no” to everything you want? Do you want to see God’s “yes” in your life?

The Gospel of “Yes” by Mike Glenn is the book that can help you see God’s “yes” in your life.

When I first saw the title of this book, I thought that it was probably another book about prosperity and how if we just have enough faith our lives will be “perfect.” I am happy to say that I was wrong. Pastor Glenn does a wonderful job of showing us how God wants to say “yes” to us and how He already does, but Pastor Glenn also is clear to say that we are still going to go through rough times and our lives will never be perfect. Using Biblical examples, Mike Glenn shows us that God’s favorite word is “yes” and how even the things that appear to be “no” can be a “yes” when we allow Christ to work in our lives. He describes how the work of the cross and the resurrection are God’s “yes” to us. He shows how through our saying “yes” to Christ we can become the unique individual that God has designed us to be. We can live our destiny when we recognize that “Our destiny flows out of Christ’s destiny” and our unique identities in Christ. Pastor Glenn calls us to be “yes” to someone else by seeking to understand how we can serve others. Pastor Glenn is forthright and clear that Jesus Christ is the only way to knowing and experiencing God’s “yes” in our lives. Once I started reading this book, I had a hard time putting it down and my copy is full of highlighting and notes.  I won’t say that this book will change your life, but it might just change the way you see your life and your relationship with Christ.
